College Scholarship Opportunities for the Children

As a part of our law firm’s ongoing effort to produce a change in our clients’ lives, we have created an annual scholarship program to support children of parents that have sustained serious injuries — whether in the workplace, in a car accident, or elsewhere.

Dewey, Ramsay & Hunt will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship — to be used exclusively for tuition or other education-related expenses — to a student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at a school located in North Carolina. Apply Now!

Am I Eligible to Apply for the Dewey, Ramsay & Hunt Legal Scholarship?

To be eligible for the Dewey, Ramsay & Hunt Legal Scholarship, students must:

• Hold a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Be a U.S. Citizen or legal resident who is authorized to work in the country.
• Be a North Carolina resident or be admitted to a school in North Carolina.

Prospective scholarship recipients must submit the following entry requirements no later than May 5th, 2023:

• One-to-two-page essay describing the student’s reason for pursuing college, their current career plans, and the impact that their parent’s injury had on their life.
• Proof of acceptance or attendance from a college.

The $1,000 scholarship award will be made payable directly to the student in the form of a check and is designed to be used for educational expenses only. The scholarship recipient must submit proof of legal U.S. residency, which may include a birth certificate, passport, or permanent resident card prior to the award check being issued.

• Scholarship Submission Start Date: February 1st, 2022
• Scholarship Submission End Date: May 5th, 2023
• Award: $1,000
