As the founding member, Robert J. Dewey has been representing people in court for over 30 years. He began his career as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. Desiring to have more client contact he entered private practice.
Using his trial skills, he developed a practice built partially of clients referred from other lawyers. He began to represent injured people. After trying many cases, he attended a nationally renowned trial skills workshop through the Institute of Continuing Legal Education at the University of Michigan. Shortly thereafter, he was one of only 48 trial attorneys from all over the U.S. who attended the Institute’s first Advanced Trial Skills Workshop, by invitation only.
Throughout the years he has continued to successfully represent injured people, both in and out of court. He brings a wealth of trial experience and representation of injured people to Dewey, Ramsay & Hunt, PA. He is skilled in every phase of case development, from investigation and assessment to negotiation and trial.
Coming from a humble background, he understands people from all walks of life. Together with his wife, he worked his way through college and law school. After serving in the U.S. Army, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University. He received his legal education at The University of Tennessee College of Law where he finished 3 years of law school in two and a quarter years.

Attorney Martha Ramsay has fought for the rights of injured workers and individuals for more than 20 years. She obtained her law degree at SUNY Buffalo School of Law. After working for a few law firms, she decided to embark on her next career move and opened her own law firm in 2004, where she has successfully continued to grow her business year after year. In 2012, Ms. Ramsay became certified as a Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law. She will continue to run Ramsay Law Firm, in addition to Dewey, Ramsay & Hunt, P.A.
Attorney Brian C. Hunt earned his Juris Doctorate from Elon University School of Law. Mr. Hunt cut his teeth as an attorney working relentlessly on a three-week trial in Mooresville, NC, which is where he first met Mr. Dewey. Mr. Hunt and Mr. Dewey were able to settle the claim to the satisfaction of all parties involved. He then began to work as an associate with both Mr. Dewey & Ms. Ramsay, before joining Dewey, Ramsay & Hunt, P.A., as a named partner and being promoted to Associate at the Ramsay Law Firm, P.A.
