Breaking News: Collision Shuts Down Highway 211 After Trailer Loses Axles and Scatters Construction Debrisv
October 11, 2025Hoke County, North Carolina — October 10, 2025 — According to the Sandhills Sentinel, a serious two-vehicle collision involving a trailer packed with construction materials shut down a stretch of Highway 211 just south of Aberdeen, leaving the roadway littered with debris.
Witnesses at the scene said a passenger car and a pickup truck were traveling in opposite directions when the vehicle reportedly crossed the centerline, striking a trailer being towed behind the truck.

The impact ripped the trailer apart, shearing off both axles and scattering tools, boards, and other construction items across roughly 50 feet of roadway. The Ford F-150 pulling the trailer managed to come to a controlled stop along the shoulder, while the car came to rest a short distance down the road.
Emergency responders transported two people to a nearby hospital with injuries following the crash. Their conditions were not immediately available.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is leading the investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Hoke County EMS, the Hoke County Sheriff’s Department, and the N.C. Highway Patrol.
Crews worked to clear the debris and reopen the roadway after the wreck.
