Breaking News: Two Injured in Crash After Truck Fails to Stop in Seagrove

Seagrove, North Carolina — July 29, 2025 — According to the Sands Sentinel, a collision involving two vehicles sent two people to the hospital near the Moore-Randolph County line. The accident happened at the intersection of N.C. Highway 705 and Upper Road.

According to officials, a Lowe’s flatbed truck traveling on Upper Road did not stop at a stop sign and entered the path of an SUV heading southeast on Highway 705. The SUV then collided with the driver’s side of the flatbed portion of the truck.

The impact caused significant front-end damage to the SUV, including deployed airbags and a shattered windshield. The flatbed truck, however, sustained only minor damage.

Emergency responders transported both occupants of the SUV to Moore Regional Hospital. Authorities have not yet provided an update on their condition or the severity of their injuries.

Crews from the Westmoore Fire Department, Moore County EMS, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Carolina Highway Patrol assisted at the scene.
