Greensboro, North Carolina — January 2, 2026 — According to My Fox 8 and the Greensboro police, a Jamestown man was killed in a motorcycle crash on New Year’s Day, and the other driver involved is now facing multiple charges.

Investigators determined that 37-year-old David Robert Cook was traveling south on a Ducati motorcycle when a Nissan SUV attempted to turn left out of a parking lot to head north on Guilford College Road. The vehicles collided in the roadway.

Emergency crews pronounced Cook dead at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver of the SUV, identified as 44-year-old Titus Quentin Foxx of Greensboro, and his passenger were not hurt.

Police say Foxx is now charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle, failure to yield to a motorcycle causing serious injury or death, driving while his license was revoked, and possession of an open container.

The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate. Guilford College Road was closed between Interstate 40 and Sapp Road for nearly four hours while officers worked the scene. No additional details have been released at this time.
